Neobank – The prefix neo within the new term “neobank” in Greek means “new” (from the Greek neos new), i.e. neobanks are upgraded and modernised banks, typically modernised with modern performance and forms of communication and information switch together with fundamental parts like web (websites, offices) and mobile financial institution (apps, messaging, cellphone management).
The rating consists of solely full-fledged banks operating under banking licenses and under full management of hyperregulators. Payment systems and organisations operating beneath cost operators’ licences usually are not included within the rating.
